     William Verner was born on 31 January 1807.¹ He was the son of Thomas Verner and Elizabeth May.¹ He married, firstly, Charlotte Elizabeth May, daughter of Reverend Edward May, on 20 October 1832.¹ He married, secondly, Charlotte Jane Willis Fleming, daughter of John Willis Fleming and Christopheria Buchanan, on 22 July 1867.¹ He died on 9 January 1893 at age 85.¹
     He was Treasurer of County Antrim.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Antrim Artillery.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹

     Frances Constantia Carne was the daughter of Captain John Curnan Carne.¹ She married Lt.-Col. James Edward Verner, son of Thomas Verner and Elizabeth May, on 28 February 1843.¹ She died on 16 May 1848.¹
     From 28 February 1843, her married name became Verner.¹

     Captain John Curnan Carne gained the rank of Captain in the East India Company Service.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Thomas Edward Verner was born on 5 April 1845.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Edward Verner and Frances Constantia Carne.¹ He married Katherine Isobel Mathews, daughter of Thomas Mathews, on 12 January 1886.¹ He died on 9 July 1931 at age 86.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Katherine Isobel Mathews was the daughter of Thomas Mathews.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Thomas Edward Verner, son of Lt.-Col. James Edward Verner and Frances Constantia Carne, on 12 January 1886.¹ She died on 5 July 1936.¹
     From 12 January 1886, her married name became Verner.¹

     Thomas Mathews lived at Crewkerne, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Charlotte Elizabeth May was the daughter of Reverend Edward May.¹ She married William Verner, son of Thomas Verner and Elizabeth May, on 20 October 1832.¹ She died on 19 March 1861.¹
     From 20 October 1832, her married name became Verner.¹

     Reverend Edward May was the Vicar at Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹

     Major Arthur Hugh Wodehouse was born on 26 April 1879.¹ He was the son of Reverend William Wentworth Wodehouse and Helen Maude Brooke.² He married Louise London, daughter of Captain George London, on 15 August 1923.¹ He died on 24 November 1952 at age 73.¹
     He fought in the First World War.² He gained the rank of Major in the 5th Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers.¹
