     Sir Roger Wodehouse was the son of Sir Thomas Wodehouse and unknown wife (?)² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Ratcliff, daughter of Sir Robert Ratcliff.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Drury, daughter of John Drury.¹ He died in 1560, having by her had a daughter (Ursula, married the eldest s of Sir Thomas Cotton).¹
     He was appointed Knight in 1548.¹ He had three other sons and four daughters by his first wife.¹

     Elizabeth Ratcliff is the daughter of Sir Robert Ratcliff.¹ She married Sir Roger Wodehouse, son of Sir Thomas Wodehouse and unknown wife (?).¹
     Her married name became Wodehouse.

     Thomas Wodehouse was the son of Sir Roger Wodehouse and Elizabeth Ratcliff.² He married Margaret Shelton, daughter of Sir John Shelton and Anne Boleyn.¹ He died in 1547, killed in action.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹ He fought in the Battle of Musselburgh in 1547, against the Scots.¹

     Sir John Shelton was born circa 1472 at Shelton, Norfolk, England.² He is the son of Sir Ralph Shelton and Margaret Clere.² He married Anne Boleyn, daughter of Sir William Boleyn and Lady Margaret Butler, circa 1497.² He died on 21 December 1539.²
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1504.² He was appointed Knight in 1509.²

     Margaret Shelton is the daughter of Sir John Shelton and Anne Boleyn.² She married Thomas Wodehouse, son of Sir Roger Wodehouse and Elizabeth Ratcliff.¹
     She was granted the rank of a knight’s wife after her husband’s death.¹ Her married name became Wodehouse.

     Sir Roger Wodehouse was the son of Thomas Wodehouse and Margaret Shelton.² He married Mary Corbet, daughter of John Corbet.¹ He died on 4 April 1588.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Aldborough.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1578.¹ In 1578 he was visited by Queen Elizabeth I at Kimberley.¹ He lived at Kimberley, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Sir Philip Wodehouse, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir Roger Wodehouse and Mary Corbet.² He married Grizell Yelverton, daughter of William Yelverton, on 22 December 1582.¹ He died on 30 October 1623.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Castle Rising from 1586 to 1587.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1596 for valour at the taking of Cadiz.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Wodehouse, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [England] on 29 June 1611.¹ He lived at Kimberley, Norfolk, England^G.¹
