     Robert Edward Cole Bowen was born on 25 May 1904.¹ He was the son of St. John Cole Bowen and Kathleen Lilian Winifred Rosslein.³ He married, firstly, Eleanor Margaret Baldwin in 1929.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Findlay in 1945.¹ He died on 2 June 1976 at age 72 at Harare, Zimbabwe.²
     He was educated at St. Andrew’s College, Grahamstown, Cape Province, South Africa^G.³ He was educated at Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa^G.³ He gained the rank of Troop Commander in the 4th South African Armoured Car Regiment.¹ He fought in the Second World War.³ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was an architect in 1956 at Harare, Zimbabwe^G.¹ He lived in 1976 at 12 Pentland Close, Highlands, Harare, Zimbabwe^G.¹

     Eleanor Margaret Baldwin married Robert Edward Cole Bowen, son of St. John Cole Bowen and Kathleen Lilian Winifred Rosslein, in 1929.¹
     Eleanor Margaret Baldwin usually went by her middle name of Margaret.² From 1929, her married name became Bowen.

     Patrick St. John Cole-Bowen was born on 16 June 1936.² He is the son of Robert Edward Cole Bowen and Eleanor Margaret Baldwin.³ He married Shiela Ann Whitelaw, daughter of Eric Oswald Whitelaw, on 25 October 1968.¹
     He was educated at Martizburg College, Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa^G.³ He was a forestry planner for Masonite (Africa) Ltd.¹ He lived in 1976 at 125 Hellet Road, Estcourt, Natal, South Africa^G.¹

     Nicholas St. John Cole-Bowen was born on 31 July 1972.¹ He is the son of Patrick St. John Cole-Bowen and Shiela Ann Whitelaw.² He married Marieta Johanna Geel on 4 August 2007.³

     Catherine Ann Cole-Bowen was born on 22 November 1970.¹ She is the daughter of Patrick St. John Cole-Bowen and Shiela Ann Whitelaw.² She married Andre Eliot Rabie on 4 May 2002.³
