     He was educated at Denstone, Staffordshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (F.R.C.S.I.) in 1908.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (F.R.C.Ph.I.) in 1908.¹ He was District Medical Officer in the Fiji Colonial Service.¹

     Thomas Burlton Mathews lived at Rewa River, Fiji^G.¹

     Bessie Kathleen Mathews was born circa 1886.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Burlton Mathews.² She married William Harold Bomford, son of John Francis Bomford and Eleanor Jane Bolton, on 21 December 1912.¹ She died on 24 November 1971.¹
     From 21 December 1912, her married name became Bomford.

     Stephen Robert William Bomford was born on 1 January 1914.¹ He was the son of William Harold Bomford and Bessie Kathleen Mathews.² He died on 21 October 1943 at age 29 at Middle East^G, killed in action, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Takapuna Grammar School, Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹ He graduated from Auckland University, Auckland, New Zealand^G, in 1936 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, in 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Forces.¹

     John Hamilton Bomford was born on 14 June 1918.¹ He was the son of William Harold Bomford and Bessie Kathleen Mathews.² He died on 28 October 1942 at age 24, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Second World War, in Royal New Zealand Air Force.¹

     Marie Elanor Bomford was born on 12 October 1915.¹ She is the daughter of William Harold Bomford and Bessie Kathleen Mathews.² She married Alan Kennedy Wylie, son of Douglas Stuart Wylie, on 22 May 1941.¹
     From 22 May 1941, her married name became Wylie.

     Douglas Stuart Wylie lived at Roseville, Sydney, new South Wales, Australia^G.¹

     Alan Kennedy Wylie is the son of Douglas Stuart Wylie.² He married Marie Elanor Bomford, daughter of William Harold Bomford and Bessie Kathleen Mathews, on 22 May 1941.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Actuaries (F.I.A.)¹ He graduated with a Master of Science (M.Sc.)¹ He lived in 1976 at 5 Moorina Road, St. Ives, new South Wales, Australia^G.¹
