     Thomas Mahon Minchin was born on 17 December 1837 at Greenhills, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.^2,3 He was the son of Reverend William Minchin and Mary Anne Wright.^4,1 He married, firstly, Zara Guinness, daughter of Reverend William Newton Guinness and Harriette Trench, circa 1860.⁵ He married, secondly, Amy Webster in 1891 at New Zealand^G. He died on 16 September 1932 at age 94 at Mangamuka, Hokianga, Northland, New Zealand^G.⁵
     He emigrated with his parents to New Zealand^G arriving on 1852.¹ He lived at Broadwood, Hokianga, New Zealand^G.¹
