     Colonel Townsend James William Hungerford was born in 1814.¹ He was the son of John Townsend Hungerford and Mary Anne Payne.¹ He married Harriet Willoughby, daughter of George Willoughby, on 28 July 1855.¹ He died between 1858 and 1859 at Port Philip, Australia^G, while on sick-leave.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Bengal Artillery.¹ He was Commander of the Forces at Mohn in 1857.¹ He fought in the Indian Mutiny.¹

     Harriet Willoughby is the daughter of George Willoughby.¹ She married Colonel Townsend James William Hungerford, son of John Townsend Hungerford and Mary Anne Payne, on 28 July 1855.¹
     From 28 July 1855, her married name became Hungerford.¹

     George Willoughby lived at Madras, India^G.¹

     George Dobson Willoughby is the son of George Willoughby.¹
     He fought in the Indian Mutiny, and was the hero of the Defence of Delhi.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Bengal Artillery.¹

     George Willoughby Hungerford was born in 1856.¹ He was the son of Colonel Townsend James William Hungerford and Harriet Willoughby.¹ He married, firstly, Gertrude Hill, daughter of Canon Abraham Hill.¹ He married Emily Clark.¹ He died in 1944.¹
     He was a tea planter at India^G.¹ He lived at Cheviot, Canterbury, New Zealand^G.¹

     Gertrude Hill was the daughter of Canon Abraham Hill.¹ She married George Willoughby Hungerford, son of Colonel Townsend James William Hungerford and Harriet Willoughby.¹ She died in 1908.¹
     Her married name became Hungerford.¹
