     He lived at Het Loo, The Netherlands^G.¹ He had an elder son and two younger sons.¹

     Henrich Bentinck was the son of Hendrick Bentinck and Elizabeth (?)¹ He married Gertrude van Huls, daughter of John van Huls.¹ He died in 1477.¹
     In 1436 he represented the district of Veluwe at the Diet at Nymegen.¹ He fought in the Battle of St. Hubert in 1444, where he was taken prisoner by the Duke of Berg. The town of Elburg paid his ransom.¹

     In 1400 he was endowed by the Bishop of Cleves with a fief at Huessen.¹ In 1411 he endowed the chapter of Walsberg.¹ He had an elder son, and two younger sons.¹

     Gerrit Bentinck is the son of Johan Benting.¹
     He was appointed Knight of the duchy of Guelder.¹ He was also known as Gerard Benting.¹

     Johan Benting is the son of Helmich Benting and Mechtildis (?)¹
     In 1392 he inherited Olst.¹ He had three older sons, a younger son, and two daughters.¹

     Helmich Benting is the son of Willem Benting.¹ He married Mechtildis (?)¹
     He sold his estates at Doornick to Willem van der Horst.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1340.¹

     Willem Benting is the son of Wilcherus Benting.¹

     In 1233 he witnessed the signature of Bishop Willbold of Utrecht at the foundation of Zwole.¹

     Henrik Benting is the son of Wilcherus Benting.¹
     He was Surety (‘Borge’) of Zutphen in 1312.¹

     Mechtildis (?) married Helmich Benting, son of Willem Benting.¹
     Her married name became Benting.¹
