     David Gordon Allen d’Aldecamb Lumsden of Cushnie was born on 25 May 1933 at Quetta, Baluchistan, Pakistan^G.^2,3 He was the son of Major Henry Gordon Strange Lumsden and Sydney Mary Elliott.² He died on 29 August 2008 at age 75.³
     He was educated at Allhallows School, Devon, England^G.² He was educated at Bedford School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England^G.² He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 1 March 1972.² He was awarded the Knight of Justice, Constantinian Order of St. George in 1978.² He was awarded the Knight of Honour and Devotion, Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 1980.² He contributed to the book The Muster Roll of Prince Charles Edward’s Army, published 1984.² He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries Scotland (F.S.A.Scot.) in 1984.² He held the office of Garioch Pursuivant of Arms in 1986.² He was awarded the Knight, Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus in 1998.² He lived in 2003 at Hamilton House, West Loan, Prestonpans, East Lothian, Scotland^G.²

     Kenneth Ian Hugh Lumsden of Banchory was born on 3 June 1935.¹ He is the son of Major Henry Gordon Strange Lumsden and Sydney Mary Elliott.² He married Suzan Angela Sellon, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Dundas Sellon, on 25 July 1964.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Gordon Highlanders.¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 17 September 1979.¹ He lived in 2003 at Marlee, Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. Robert Dundas Sellon gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King’s Own Scottish Borderers.¹
