     Charles Augustus Grey Bennet, 9th Earl of Tankerville was born on 28 July 1921.¹ He was the son of Charles Augustus Ker Bennet, 8th Earl of Tankerville and Roberta Nolan.¹ He married, firstly, Virginia Diether, daughter of Louis M. Diether, on 15 May 1943.¹ He and Virginia Diether were divorced in 1950.¹ He married, secondly, Georgiana Lilian Maude Wilson, daughter of Gilbert Wilson, on 22 June 1954.¹ He died on 27 April 1980 at age 58.¹
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baron Ossulston, of Ossulston, co. Middlesex [E., 1682] on 1 December 1971.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Tankerville [G.B., 1714] on 1 December 1971.¹

     Lady Corisande Elizabeth Bennet was born on 21 March 1947.¹ She is the daughter of Charles Augustus Grey Bennet, 9th Earl of Tankerville and Virginia Diether.¹

     Georgiana Lilian Maude Wilson was the daughter of Gilbert Wilson.¹ She married Charles Augustus Grey Bennet, 9th Earl of Tankerville, son of Charles Augustus Ker Bennet, 8th Earl of Tankerville and Roberta Nolan, on 22 June 1954.¹ She died on 19 November 1998.¹
     Her married name became Bennet. After her marriage, Georgiana Lilian Maude Wilson was styled as Countess of Tankerville on 1 December 1971.
