He held the office of Prebendary of St. Paul’s Cathedral in 1449.2 He held the office of Archdeacon of Richmond between 1454 and 1457.2 He held the office of Chancellor of Cambridge University.1 He held the office of Dean of St. Paul’s Cathedral in 1456.2 He held the office of Bishop of Durham between 25 September 1456 and 1476.1,2 He held the office of Keeper of the Privy Seal circa 1457.1 He held the office of Lord Chancellor of England from 1473 to 1474.1 He held the office of Archbishop of York between 1476 and 1480.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3
