Ranch, Stonewall, Texas, U.S.A.^G.
     He was US President No. 36. The assassination of president John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, brought
him unexpectedly to the presidency. Took the oath of office in the same plane
which carried the body of JFK back to Washington. Was reelected in 1964 over
Barry Goldwater by a popular vote of 43,129,566 to 27,178,188 and an electoral
vote of 486 to 52. Hubert M. Humphrey was his vice-president.

     Claudia Alta Taylor was born on 22 December 1912 at Karnack, Texas, U.S.A.^G. She married Lyndon Baines Johnson, son of Samuel Ealy Johnson II and Rebekah Baines, on 17 November 1934 at San Antonio, Texas, U.S.A.^G.
     Claudia Alta Taylor also went by the nick-name of Lady Bird. From 17 November 1934, her married name became Johnson.

     Lynda Bird Johnson was born on 19 March 1944. She is the daughter of Lyndon Baines Johnson and Claudia Alta Taylor. She married Charles Spittall Robb on 9 December 1967 at White House, Washington, D.C., U.S.A.^G.

     Lucy Baines Johnson was born on 2 July 1947. She is the daughter of Lyndon Baines Johnson and Claudia Alta Taylor. She married Patrick John Nugent on 6 August 1966 at Immaculate Concepcion, Washington, D.C., U.S.A.^G.
     She was also known as Luci. From 6 August 1966, her married name became Nugent.
