     Rutherford Birchard Hayes was born on 4 October 1822 at Delaware, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Rutherford Hayes and Sophia Birchard. He married Lucy Ware Webb on 30 December 1852 at Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He died on 17 January 1893 at age 70 at Fremont, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He was buried at Spiegel Grove, Fremont, Ohio, U.S.A.^G.
     He was US President No. 19. Won the most memorable and controversial election in 1876 over Samuel J.
Tilden. Tilden won the popular vote by 4,284,020 to 4,036,572, but Hayes won
the electoral vote by the smallest possible margin of 185 to 184. William A.
Wheeler was his vice-president. Hayes declined to run for a second term.

     Lucy Ware Webb was born on 28 August 1831 at Chillicothe, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. She married Rutherford Birchard Hayes, son of Rutherford Hayes and Sophia Birchard, on 30 December 1852 at Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. She died on 25 June 1889 at age 57 at Fremont, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. She was buried at Spiegel Grove, Fremont, Ohio, U.S.A.^G.
     As First Lady prohibited the serving of liquor in the White House – a move
which subjected her and her family to considerable crticism and earned her
the nichname ‘lemonade Lucy’. Her married name became Hayes.

     Sardis Birchard (Austin) Hayes was born on 4 November 1853 at Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Rutherford Birchard Hayes and Lucy Ware Webb. He married Mary Nancy Sherman on 30 December 1886. He died on 24 January 1926 at age 72 at Toledo, Ohio, U.S.A.^G.

     James Webb Hayes was born on 20 March 1856 at Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Rutherford Birchard Hayes and Lucy Ware Webb. He married Mary Otis Miller on 30 September 1912. He died on 26 July 1935 at age 79 at Marion, Ohio, U.S.A.^G.

     Rutherford Platt Hayes was born on 24 June 1858 at Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Rutherford Birchard Hayes and Lucy Ware Webb. He married Lucy Hayes Platt on 24 October 1894. He died on 31 July 1927 at age 69 at Tampa, Florida, U.S.A.^G.

     Joseph Thompson Hayes was born on 21 December 1861 at Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Rutherford Birchard Hayes and Lucy Ware Webb. He died on 24 June 1863 at age 1 at Charleston, West Virginia, U.S.A.^G.

     George Cook Hayes was born on 29 September 1864 at Chillicothe, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Rutherford Birchard Hayes and Lucy Ware Webb. He died on 24 May 1866 at age 1 at Chillicothe, Ohio, U.S.A.^G.

     Frances Hayes was born on 2 September 1867 at Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. She was the daughter of Rutherford Birchard Hayes and Lucy Ware Webb. She married Harry Eaton Smith on 1 September 1897. She died on 18 March 1950 at age 82 at Lewiston, Maine, U.S.A.^G.
     Frances Hayes also went by the nick-name of Fanny. From 1 September 1897, her married name became Smith.

     Scott Russell Hayes was born on 8 February 1871 at Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Rutherford Birchard Hayes and Lucy Ware Webb. He married Maude Anderson in September 1912. He died on 6 May 1923 at age 52 at Croton-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York, U.S.A.^G.

     Manning Force Hayes was born on 1 August 1873 at Fremont, Ohio, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Rutherford Birchard Hayes and Lucy Ware Webb. He died on 28 August 1874 at age 1 at Fremont, Ohio, U.S.A.^G.
