     Colonel George John Beresford was born on 21 July 1807.1 He was the son of Reverend Charles Cobbe Beresford and Amelia Montgomery.1 He married, firstly, Jane Charlotte Riall, daughter of Charles Riall, on 12 December 1839.1 He married, secondly, Frances Constantia Uniacke, daughter of Colonel Robert Uniacke and Annette Constantia Beresford, on 15 November 1844.1 He died on 11 February 1864 at age 56.1
     He lived in 1863 at Woodhouse, County Waterford, IrelandG.2
