     Marjorie Verney was born on 21 June 1913.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Harry Calvert Williams Verney, 4th Bt. and Lady Rachel Catherine Bruce.² She married, firstly, Julian Guy Tryon, son of Richard Tryon and Edith Campbell Watson, on 8 March 1944.² She married, secondly, Sir Ronald Montague Joseph Harris, son of Reverend Joseph Montague Harris, on 3 October 1957.² She died on 20 December 1986 at age 73.¹
     From 8 March 1944, her married name became Tryon. From 3 October 1957, her married name became Harris.²
