     Hon. Jean Astley was born on 17 April 1917.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Albert Edward Delavel Astley, 21st Lord Hastings and Lady Marguerite Helen Nevill.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. Mark Napier, son of Admiral William Rawdon Napier and Florence Marie Nugent, on 28 June 1945.¹
     She gained the rank of 3rd Officer in the Women’s Royal Naval Service.¹ From 28 June 1945, her married name became Napier.¹ She lived in 2003 at 12 Grassmere Close, Felpham, Bognor Regis, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Mark Napier was born on 10 May 1911.² He is the son of Admiral William Rawdon Napier and Florence Marie Nugent.² He married Hon. Jean Astley, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Albert Edward Delavel Astley, 21st Lord Hastings and Lady Marguerite Helen Nevill, on 28 June 1945.¹ He died on 8 February 1962 at age 50.²
     He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Very Rev. Alan Campbell Don was born on 3 January 1885 at Broughty Ferry, Angus, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Robert Bogle Don and Lucy Flora Campbell.¹ He married Muriel Gwenda McConnell in 1914.¹ He died on 3 May 1966 at age 81.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was the Vicar between 1917 and 1921 at Norton-by-Malton, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was the Provost between 1921 and 1931 at St. Paul’s Cathedral Church, Dundee, Angus, Scotland^G.¹ He was Chaplain and Secretary to the Archbishop of Canterbury between 1931 and 1941.¹ He was Chaplain to the King between 1934 and 1946.¹ He was Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons between 1936 and 1946.¹ He held the office of Canon of Westminster between 1941 and 1946.¹ He was the Rector between 1941 and 1946 at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He held the office of Dean of Westminster between 1946 and 1959.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1948.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Edmond Roche Elles was born on 9 June 1848.¹ He was the son of Malcolm J. Elles.¹ He married Clare Gertrude Rothney, daughter of General unknown Rothney, in 1878.¹ He died on 6 January 1934 at age 85.¹
     He was commissioned in 1867, in the service of the Royal Artillery.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England^G.¹ He fought in the Looshai Expedition between 1871 and 1872.¹ He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in 1891.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1898.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in 1900.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1903.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (G.C.I.E.) in 1906.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1907.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.¹ He lived in 1933 at Clovelly, Merrow, Guildford, Surrey, England^G.¹ He had a son and a daughter.¹

     Clare Gertrude Rothney was the daughter of General unknown Rothney.¹ She married Lt.-Gen. Sir Edmond Roche Elles, son of Malcolm J. Elles, in 1878.¹ She died in 1904.¹
