     Captain Charles Oliver Meeres is the son of Colonel A. D. Meeres.¹ He married Margery Julia Ryder, daughter of Lt.-Col. Wilfred Ironside Ryder and Tempé Rose Ridhalgh Parsons, on 29 August 1934.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Field Artillery.¹

     Colonel A. D. Meeres lived at Forder House, Moretonhampstead, Devon, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Major Lisle Charles Dudley Ryder was born on 31 August 1902.¹ He was the son of Colonel Charles Henry Dudley Ryder and Ida Josephine Grigg.¹ He married Enid Helen Constance Ralston-Patrick, daughter of Major Robert Ralston-Patrick, on 22 February 1938.¹ He died between 27 May 1940 and 2 October 1940, killed in action.^1,2
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Norfolk Regiment.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Enid Helen Constance Ralston-Patrick was the daughter of Major Robert Ralston-Patrick.¹ She married Major Lisle Charles Dudley Ryder, son of Colonel Charles Henry Dudley Ryder and Ida Josephine Grigg, on 22 February 1938.¹ She died on 12 September 1977.^1,2
     From 22 February 1938, her married name became Ryder.¹

     Major Robert Ralston-Patrick lived at Trearne, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹ He lived at Roughwood, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Ralston Patrick Dudley Ryder was born on 22 June 1939.¹ He is the son of Major Lisle Charles Dudley Ryder and Enid Helen Constance Ralston-Patrick.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹

     Major Ernle Terrick Dudley Ryder was born on 18 April 1906.¹ He was the son of Colonel Charles Henry Dudley Ryder and Ida Josephine Grigg.¹ He married Daphne Joan Pillans Greig, daughter of John Greig, on 12 September 1936.¹ He died circa 28 February 1942, killed in action off Sumatra.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Gurkha Rifles.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Daphne Joan Pillans Greig is the daughter of John Greig.¹ She married Major Ernle Terrick Dudley Ryder, son of Colonel Charles Henry Dudley Ryder and Ida Josephine Grigg, on 12 September 1936.¹
     From 12 September 1936, her married name became Ryder.¹ She lived in 2003 at Fox Covert Cottage, Priory Lane, Warfield, Berkshire, England^G.¹
