     From 19 October 1863, her married name became Montford.¹

     John Thomas Edward Flint was born on 21 May 1786.¹ He was the son of James Flint and Susanna Maria Bradford.¹ He married Jane Ewart, daughter of John Ewart and Margaret Borland, on 9 August 1819 at Newington, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He died on 9 February 1855 at age 68 at Douglas, Isle of Man^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     Jane Ewart was born circa 1799 at Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.¹ She was the daughter of John Ewart and Margaret Borland.¹ She married John Thomas Edward Flint, son of James Flint and Susanna Maria Bradford, on 9 August 1819 at Newington, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ She died on 26 April 1869 at Eskbank, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹
     From 9 August 1819, her married name became Flint.¹

     John Ewart was baptised on 11 August 1752 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of James Ewart and Margaret Christie.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Borland, daughter of James Borland, on 7 March 1796 at Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.¹ He died on 5 January 1830 at age 77 at Chudleigh, Devon, England^G.¹
     He was a customs officer at Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Margaret Borland was the daughter of James Borland.¹ She married John Ewart, son of James Ewart and Margaret Christie, on 7 March 1796 at Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.¹ She died on 7 June 1836 at Camden Town, London, England^G.¹
     From 7 March 1796, her married name became Ewart.¹

     James Ewart was born circa 1707.¹ He was the son of Andrew Ewart and Agnes Grierson.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Christie, daughter of James Christie and Catherine Dick, on 15 August 1741 at Peebles, Peebles-shire, Scotland^G.¹ He died on 4 March 1799 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.¹
     He lived at Mullock, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland^G.¹
