Richard Hugh Napier Simonds and Kathleen Mary Vincent Bristow, in 1978.¹

     Lt.-Col. Richard Hugh Napier Simonds was born on 15 June 1913 at Shinfield, Berkshire, England.² He was the son of Major Charles Francis Simonds and Evelyn Julia Hickman.² He married Kathleen Mary Vincent Bristow on 12 May 1940 at Cairo, Egypt.² He died on 15 August 1996 at age 83.²
