Matthew James Hastings FitzMaurice Deane, son of Matthew FitzMaurice Deane, 3rd Baron Muskerry and Louisa Dorcas Grady, on 27 September 1871.¹ She died in February 1879.¹
     Her married name became Bagge.¹ From 27 September 1871, her married name became Deane.¹

Matthew James Hastings FitzMaurice Deane and Maria Banbury.¹ He married, firstly, Mabel Kathleen Vivienne Robinson, daughter of Charles Henry Robinson, on 6 October 1879.² He married, secondly, Muriel Doreen Sellers Simpson, daughter of Arthur Gibson Simpson, on 12 June 1964.² He died on 2 November 1966 at age 92.¹
     He succeeded as the 7th Baron Muskerry, co. Cork [I., 1781] on 3 May 1954.¹ He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Deane [I., 1710] on 3 May 1954.¹
