Robert Dennett Rodney, 6th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke1

     Robert Dennett Rodney, 6th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke was born on 21 May 1820.1 He was the son of Captain Hon. Robert Rodney and Anne Dennett.2 He married Sarah Singleton, daughter of John Singleton, on 3 August 1850.1 He died on 19 August 1864 at age 44.1
     He gained the rank of Ensign in 1838 in the Scots Guards.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke, co. Somerset [G.B., 1782] on 15 May 1846.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Rodney [G.B., 1764] on 15 May 1846.2

     Sarah Singleton was the daughter of John Singleton.1 She married Robert Dennett Rodney, 6th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke, son of Captain Hon. Robert Rodney and Anne Dennett, on 3 August 1850.1 She died on 1 October 1882.1
     After her marriage, Sarah Singleton was styled as Baroness Rodney of Rodney Stoke on 3 August 1850. From 3 August 1850, her married name became Rodney.1
