     Sir John David Pound, 5th Bt. was born on 1 November 1946.1 He was the son of Sir Derek Allen Pound, 4th Bt. and Joan Amy Woodthorpe.2 He married, firstly, Heather Frances O’Brien Dean, daughter of Harry Jackson Dean, on 20 July 1968.1 He and Heather Frances O’Brien Dean were divorced in 1978.1 He married, secondly, Penelope Ann Rayden, daughter of Grahame Arthur Rayden, in 1978.1 He died on 23 August 2022 at age 75.3
     He was educated at Burebank School, Aylhsam, Norfolk, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Pound, of Stanmore, Middlesex [U.K., 1905] on 23 December 1980.2 He lived in 2003 at Brookland, 4 Blencathra Close, West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.1
