     S/Ldr. Edward Fox Dyke Acland was born on 9 November 1891.¹ He was the son of Sir Reginald Brodie Dyke Acland and Helen Emma Fox.¹ He married Beatrice Laver, daughter of Dr. John Wiseman Laver, on 29 March 1924.¹ He died on 31 May 1978 at age 86.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Beatrice Laver was born on 14 July 1901.² She was the daughter of Dr. John Wiseman Laver.¹ She married S/Ldr. Edward Fox Dyke Acland, son of Sir Reginald Brodie Dyke Acland and Helen Emma Fox, on 29 March 1924.¹ She died on 21 October 1972 at age 71 at Eastcourt Burbage, Swindon, Wiltshire, England.^1,2
     Her married name became Acland.

     Dr. John Wiseman Laver was born in 1870 at Colchester, Essex, England.² He died on 3 September 1908 at Norfolk, England.²

     W/Cmdr. Wilfred Reginald Dyke Acland was born on 26 June 1894.¹ He was the son of Sir Reginald Brodie Dyke Acland and Helen Emma Fox.¹ He married Mary Strange Marshall, daughter of Thomas Marshall, on 4 August 1921.¹ He died on 1 October 1937 at age 43, killed in a flying accident.¹
     He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in 1919.¹ He was awarded the Air Force Cross (A.F.C.) in 1919.¹

     Mary Strange Marshall was born on 31 July 1899.² She was the daughter of Thomas Marshall.¹ She married, firstly, W/Cmdr. Wilfred Reginald Dyke Acland, son of Sir Reginald Brodie Dyke Acland and Helen Emma Fox, on 4 August 1921.¹ She married, secondly, A/Cdre. Thomas Edward Barham Howe, son of Thomas Scrope Howe and Frances Mary Bond, on 23 May 1939 at Parish Church, Alton, Hampshire, England.^1,2 She died on 6 February 1991 at age 91 at Brow Liss, Petersfield, Hampshire, England.^1,2
     From 4 August 1921, her married name became Acland. Her married name became Howe. She lived at Little Orchard, Hill Brow, Liss, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Thomas Marshall lived at Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     A/Cdre. Thomas Edward Barham Howe was born on 4 September 1886 at Ireland.² He was the son of Thomas Scrope Howe and Frances Mary Bond.³ He married Mary Strange Marshall, daughter of Thomas Marshall, on 23 May 1939 at Parish Church, Alton, Hampshire, England.^1,2 He died on 2 January 1970 at age 83.²
     He gained the rank of Private on 26 October 1914 in the Australian Imperial Forces.² He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign, where he was wounded.² He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He gained the rank of Flight Sub-Lieutenant on 3 April 1916 in the Royal Naval Air Service.² He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant on 1 October 1917.² He gained the rank of Captain on 1 April 1918 in the Royal Air Force.² He was awarded the Air Force Cross (A.F.C.) on 2 November 1918 and bar (1923.)² He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant on 1 August 1919.² He gained the rank of Squadron Leader on 1 January 1924.² He gained the rank of Wing Commander on 1 January 1928.² He gained the rank of Group Captain on 1 July 1933.² He held the office of Extra Air Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V between 1934 and 1935.² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) on 1 January 1936.¹ He gained the rank of Air Commodore on 1 July 1937.²

     Thomas Scrope Howe was born on 8 December 1848.¹ He was the son of John Henry Howe and Elizabeth Anne Patterson.² He married Margaret Morrison, daughter of Robert Morrison, on 18 February 1871.² He married, secondly, Frances Mary Bond, daughter of Sir Edward Augustus Bond and Caroline Frances Barham, on 17 April 1883.² He died on 11 April 1935 at age 86.¹
