     Peter Wedderburn, Lord Chesterhall was the son of Alexander Wedderburn and Mary Deas.¹ He married Janet Ogilvy, daughter of Captain David Ogilvy.² He died on 11 August 1756.²
     He held the office of Lord of Session in 1755.² He was styled as Lord Chesterhall [Scottish Law Lord] in 1755.²

     Janet Ogilvy was the daughter of Captain David Ogilvy.¹ She married Peter Wedderburn, Lord Chesterhall, son of Alexander Wedderburn and Mary Deas.¹ She died in June 1771.¹
     Her married name became Wedderburn.

     Captain David Ogilvy gained the rank of Captain of Dragoons.¹

     Alexander Wedderburn, 1st Earl of Rosslyn was born on 13 February 1733 at East Lothian, Scotland.² He was the son of Peter Wedderburn, Lord Chesterhall and Janet Ogilvy.³ He married, firstly, Betty Anne Dawson, daughter of John Dawson, on 31 December 1767.³ He married, secondly, Hon. Charlotte Courtenay, daughter of William Courtenay, 1st Viscount Courtenay of Powderham Castle and Lady Frances Finch, on 12 September 1782.³ He died on 3 January 1805 at age 71 at Baylis, Salt Hill, Windsor, Berkshire, England.²
     He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.³ He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1754.³ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1757 entitled to practise as a barrister.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Ayr Burghs between 1761 and 1768.³ He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.) in 1763.³ He held the office of Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn in 1763.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Richmond, Yorkshire between 1768 and 1769.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Bishop’s Castle between 1770 and 1774.³ He held the office of Solicitor-General in 1771.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Betty Anne Dawson was the daughter of John Dawson.¹ She married Alexander Wedderburn, 1st Earl of Rosslyn, son of Peter Wedderburn, Lord Chesterhall and Janet Ogilvy, on 31 December 1767.¹ She died on 15 February 1781.¹
     Her married name became Wedderburn. After her marriage, Betty Anne Dawson was styled as Baroness Loughborough on 17 June 1780.

     Hon. Charlotte Courtenay was the daughter of William Courtenay, 1st Viscount Courtenay of Powderham Castle and Lady Frances Finch.¹ She married Alexander Wedderburn, 1st Earl of Rosslyn, son of Peter Wedderburn, Lord Chesterhall and Janet Ogilvy, on 12 September 1782.¹ She died in 1826.¹
     After her marriage, Hon. Charlotte Courtenay was styled as Baroness Loughborough on 12 September 1782. From 12 September 1782, her married name became Wedderburn. After her marriage, Hon. Charlotte Courtenay was styled as Countess of Rosslyn on 21 April 1801.

     James St. Clair-Erskine, 2nd Earl of Rosslyn was born on 6 February 1762.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Henry Erskine, 5th Bt. and Janet Wedderburn.^1,2 He married Harriet Elizabeth Bouverie, daughter of Hon. Edward Bouverie and Henrietta Fawkener, in 1790.² He died on 18 January 1837 at age 74.¹
     He was given the name of James Erskine at birth.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Erskine, of Alva [N.S., 1666] on 7 August 1765.¹ He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Cornet in the 1st Horse Guards.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 35th Foot.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1778 in the 2nd Dragoons.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1780 in the 19th Light Dragoons.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Castle Rising between 1781 and 1784.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland in 1782.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1783 in the 8th Light Dragoons.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Harriet Elizabeth Bouverie was the daughter of Hon. Edward Bouverie and Henrietta Fawkener.¹ She married James St. Clair-Erskine, 2nd Earl of Rosslyn, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Henry Erskine, 5th Bt. and Janet Wedderburn, in 1790.¹ She died on 8 August 1810.¹
     Her married name became Erskine. After her marriage, Harriet Elizabeth Bouverie was styled as Countess of Rosslyn on 3 January 1805.

     Katherine Mary Walrond was born on 8 April 1846. She was the daughter of Sir John Walrond Walrond, 1st Bt. and Hon. Frances Caroline Hood.¹ She married Colonel Charles Arthur William Troyte, son of Arthur Henry Dyke Troyte and Frances Williams, on 21 June 1864.¹ She died on 5 June 1934 at age 88.¹
     Her married name became Troyte.
