     Alexander McDonell Maitland was born on 17 July 1878 at Sri Lanka^G.¹ He was the son of George Keith Maitland and Christina Mary Theresa McDonnell.¹ He died on 7 May 1920 at age 41 at Sri Lanka^G.¹

     Keith Andrew Ramsay Maitland was born circa 1882 at Sri Lanka^G.² He was the son of George Keith Maitland and Christina Mary Theresa McDonnell.² He died on 4 October 1917 at Belgium^G, killed in action.²
     He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Field Artillery.² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) and bar.¹

     Christina Clair Maitland was born circa 1884 at London, England^G.¹ She is the daughter of George Keith Maitland and Christina Mary Theresa McDonnell.¹ She married Percy Alan Cleaver, son of H. P. Cleaver, on 12 April 1909.²
     From 12 April 1909, her married name became Cleaver.¹

     Percy Alan Cleaver was the son of H. P. Cleaver.² He married Christina Clair Maitland, daughter of George Keith Maitland and Christina Mary Theresa McDonnell, on 12 April 1909.³ He died in 1945.³

     Angus Charles Marjoribanks Maitland was born on 29 January 1887 at Sri Lanka^G.² He was the son of George Keith Maitland and Christina Mary Theresa McDonnell.² He married Mary Brigid O’Callaghan, daughter of Thomas O’Callaghan, on 13 December 1923.¹ He died in 1986.¹
     He fought in the First World War, and he was mentioned in despatches.³ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He was member of the War Material Commission between 1919 and 1920.¹ He was member of the Control Commission of Germany and Austria between 1946 and 1947.¹

     Mary Brigid O’Callaghan was the daughter of Thomas O’Callaghan.² She married Angus Charles Marjoribanks Maitland, son of George Keith Maitland and Christina Mary Theresa McDonnell, on 13 December 1923.¹ She died on 1 July 1946.¹
     From 13 December 1923, her married name became Maitland.³

     Zara Valda Mari Kirby was born circa 1903.² She was the daughter of Major George Henry Kirby and Alice Marie Maitland.² She married Lt.-Col. Alexander Shepstone Godley, son of Godfrey Archibald Godley and Ruth Shepstone, on 30 October 1928.¹ She died on 6 July 1944 at Camp Palembang, Sumatra, Indonesia^G.²
     From 30 October 1928, her married name became Godley.

     Lt.-Col. Alexander Shepstone Godley was born on 9 August 1900.² He was the son of Godfrey Archibald Godley and Ruth Shepstone.³ He married, firstly, Zara Valda Mari Kirby, daughter of Major George Henry Kirby and Alice Marie Maitland, on 30 October 1928.² He married, secondly, Margaret Kathleen Connell, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Walter Connell, on 29 January 1946.² He died on 17 October 1980 at age 80.^1,4
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Scots.² He gained the rank of officer between 1922 and 1925 in the Royal Air Force.² He was Aide-de-Camp between 1927 and 1928.² He was Garrison Adjutant of Dover and Catterick between 1927 and 1931.² He fought in the Second World War, in Singapore, Ceylon, Burma and India.² He was commander of the 1st/8th LF and 23 British Indian Brigade Group in 1946.² He was Commandant of the Intelligence Corps Training Centre between 1948 and 1950 at Sussex, England^G.²
