     Beryl Emila Philpotts was born circa 1886.1 She was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Arthur Henry Croker Philpotts and Emily Augusta Brady.2,3 She married Brigadier Philip Gerard Yorke, son of Lt.-Col. Philip Charles Yorke and Emily Marion Raikes, on 7 August 1914.1 She died on 14 May 1982.1
     From 7 August 1914, her married name became Yorke.

Arthur Philip Denys Yorke was born on 16 March 1915.1 He was the son of Brigadier Philip Gerard Yorke and Beryl Emila Philpotts.2 He married Mary Elizabeth Glasbrook, daughter of John Henry Lionel Glasbrook, on 19 January 1957.1 He died on 16 August 1971 at age 56 at Newton Abbot, Devon, England.1,3
     Lt.-Col. Arthur Philip Denys Yorke usually went by his middle name of Denys.1 He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 He was Military Cross (M.C.) in 1945.1
