Sir John Swinnerton Dyer, 12th Bt.1

He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Dyer, of Tottenham, co. Middlesex [E., 1678] on 23 August 1907.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1916 in the Scots Guards.1 He gained the rank of Deputy Adjutant Quartermaster-General in 1917 in the Guards Division.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1
