     Oonagh Evelyn Brassey is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Harold Ernest Brassey and Lady Norah Hely Hutchinson.¹ She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Hon. Michael Thomas Henderson, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Harold Greenwood Henderson and Lady Violet Charlotte Dalzell, on 14 January 1929.¹ She and Lt.-Col. Hon. Michael Thomas Henderson were divorced in 1948.¹ She married, secondly, Vernon Motion on 21 December 1949.¹ She and Vernon Motion were divorced in 1962.¹
     Her married name became Henderson. From 21 December 1949, her married name became Motion.¹ On 12 September 1961 her name was legally changed to Brassey by Deed Poll.²

     Lt.-Col. Hon. Harold Greenwood Henderson was born on 29 October 1875.² He was the son of Alexander Henderson, 1st Baron Faringdon and Jane Ellen Davis.² He married Lady Violet Charlotte Dalzell, daughter of Robert Harris Dalzell, 11th Earl of Carnwath and Emily Sulivan Hippisley, on 19 February 1901.³ He died on 1 November 1922 at age 47.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Berkshire between 1910 and 1916.² He gained the rank of Captain and Adjutant in the 1st Life Guards.² He fought in the First World War.² He was Military-Secretary to the Governor-General of Canada between 1916 and 1920.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.² He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun of Japan 2nd class.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Berkshire Yeomanry.² He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1919.¹

     Lady Violet Charlotte Dalzell was born in 1879. She was the daughter of Robert Harris Dalzell, 11th Earl of Carnwath and Emily Sulivan Hippisley.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Hon. Harold Greenwood Henderson, son of Alexander Henderson, 1st Baron Faringdon and Jane Ellen Davis, on 19 February 1901.¹ She died on 1 October 1956.²
     Her married name became Henderson.

     Alexander Henderson, 1st Baron Faringdon was born on 28 September 1850.² He was the son of George Henderson and Eliza Cockshott.³ He married Jane Ellen Davis, daughter of Edward William Davis, on 2 September 1874.² He died on 17 March 1934 at age 83.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal Unionist) for West Staffordshire between 1898 and 1906.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.² He was created 1st Baronet Henderson [U.K.] on 5 August 1902.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Berkshire in 1912.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal Unionist) for St. George’s Hanover Square between 1913 and 1915.² He was created 1st Baron Faringdon, of Buscot Park, co. Berks. [U.K.] on 24 January 1916.² He was appointed Companion of Honour (C.H.) in 1917.² He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.)² He was deputy chairman of the LNER in 1934.²

     Sir John Seton of Seton was the son of Sir William de Seton and Janet Fleming.² He married Katherine Sinclair, daughter of Sir William Sinclair of Herdmanston.² He died circa 1434.²
     On 24 March 1410/11 he had a charter of confirmation of the territorial Baronies of Seton and Tranent, and the lands of Winchburgh.² In 1424 he was a hostage for King James I.²

     Katherine Sinclair was the daughter of Sir William Sinclair of Herdmanston.¹ She married Sir John Seton of Seton, son of Sir William de Seton and Janet Fleming.¹ She died after 28 March 1450.¹

     Sir William de Seton was the son of Alan de Wyntoun and Margaret de Seton.¹ He married Janet Fleming, daughter of Sir David Fleming of Biggar and Cumbernauld and Jean Barclay.¹ He died circa March 1409/10.¹
     He gained the title of Lord of Seton [feudal baron].¹ Circa 1367 he granted the lands of Wester Fausyde to his esquire John de Fausyde.¹

     Janet Fleming was the daughter of Sir David Fleming of Biggar and Cumbernauld and Jean Barclay.¹ She married Sir William de Seton, son of Alan de Wyntoun and Margaret de Seton.¹
