He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Flying Officer in 1913 in the Royal Flying Corps.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1918.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Pigot, of Patshull, Staffordshire [G.B., 1764] on 25 May 1934.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1
