     Thomas fitz John, 13th Knight of Glin was the son of Reverend John fitz Thomas, 12th Knight of Glin.² He died after 1572.¹
     He was also known as Thomas fitz John Ruddery.¹ He possessed about 8 castles in the Baronies of Lower Connelo and Shanid (including Glin.)¹ Thomas fitz John, 13th Knight of Glin also went by the nick-name of ‘Knight of the Valley’.³ He succeeded as the 13th Knight of Glin after 1541.² On 13 February 1569 he was attainted by Act of Parliament held at Dublin after the execution of his elder son, Thomas, and his lands were forfeited.¹ Before 1572 many of his lands and castles were restored to him.¹

     Major Gervase Leslie Falkiner was born on 24 February 1909.¹ He was the son of Sir Leslie Edmund Percy Riggs Falkiner, 7th Bt. and Kathleen Mary Orde-Powlett.² He married Rosemary Florence Emily Smith, daughter of Herbert George Smith and Florence Musgrave Read, on 28 July 1934 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales.^1,3 He died on 5 December 1988 at age 79.¹
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Coldstream Guards.¹

     Herbert George Smith lived at Aspey House, Batheaston, Somerset, England.¹

     Rosemary Florence Emily Smith was born on 12 June 1908 at Chester, Cheshire, England.² She was the daughter of Herbert George Smith and Florence Musgrave Read.^3,2 She married Major Gervase Leslie Falkiner, son of Sir Leslie Edmund Percy Riggs Falkiner, 7th Bt. and Kathleen Mary Orde-Powlett, on 28 July 1934 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales.^1,2 She died on 17 February 1990 at age 81 at Yeovil, Somerset, England.^1,2
     From 28 July 1934, her married name became Falkiner.

     Richard Gervase Falkiner was born on 10 March 1936.¹ He is the son of Major Gervase Leslie Falkiner and Rosemary Florence Emily Smith.² He married Gabrielle Mary Woodgate, daughter of Frank Woodgate, on 15 May 1959.¹
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Ledley House, Ebrington, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹
