     James Richard Pope was born on 22 November 1884 at Kaiuma, Marlborough, New Zealand^G. He was the son of George Whiting Pope and Elizabeth Catherine Climo. He died on 19 December 1959 at age 75 at Havelock, New Zealand^G.¹

     James Climo was born on 28 January 1822 at Bodmin, Cornwall, England^G. He was the son of John Climo and Ann (?) He married Amelia Kingcombe.¹ He married Jane Phillips, daughter of John Phillips and Ann Cox, before 1841. He died on 10 September 1911 at age 89 at Havelock, New Zealand^G.
     Jane and James and Jane Phillips immigrated to New Plymouth, New Zealand^G, on the ship William Bryan, arriving on 30 March 1841.²

     Jane Phillips was born in 1821 at Saint Kew, Cornwall, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of John Phillips and Ann Cox. She married James Climo, son of John Climo and Ann (?), before 1841. She died on 1 July 1884 at Inglewood, Taranaki, New Zealand^G.
     From before 1841, her married name became Climo. Jane and James and James Climo immigrated to New Plymouth, New Zealand^G, on the ship William Bryan, arriving on 30 March 1841.²

     John Climo was born on 19 April 1846 at New Plymouth, New Zealand^G. He was the son of James Climo and Jane Phillips. He married Catherine Harrington. He died on 21 April 1895 at age 49 at Wanganui, New Zealand^G.

     James Climo was born on 21 January 1848 at Kawhia, Waikato, New Zealand^G. He was the son of James Climo and Jane Phillips. He died in 1848 at New Plymouth, New Zealand^G.

     Richard Climo was born on 12 February 1849 at Auckland, New Zealand^G. He was the son of James Climo and Jane Phillips. He married Marianne Elizabeth Camplin. He married Fanny Ellen Luxford before 1884. He died on 12 July 1918 at age 69 at Masterton, New Zealand^G.

     George Climo was born on 12 August 1850 at Auckland, New Zealand^G. He was the son of James Climo and Jane Phillips. He married Alice Martha Hollyman on 5 July 1875 at Havelock, New Zealand^G.¹ He died on 25 September 1903 at age 53 at Havelock, New Zealand^G.

     Emily Climo was born on 11 June 1852 at Tataraimaka, Taranaki, New Zealand^G. She was the daughter of James Climo and Jane Phillips. She married Roger Whiting Pope, son of Richard Whiting Pope and Mary Anne Wilson, on 18 June 1867 at Mahakipawa, Marlborough, New Zealand^G.¹ She died on 5 April 1902 at age 49 at Wanganui, New Zealand^G.
     From 18 June 1867, her married name became Pope.

     Samuel Climo was born on 31 March 1854 at Tataraimaka, Taranaki, New Zealand^G. He was the son of James Climo and Jane Phillips. He married Johanna Gallagher. He died on 19 November 1914 at age 60 at Blenheim, New Zealand^G.
