     As of before 1916, Mungo Alexander Guthrie also went by the nick-name of Sandy Guthrie.2 He was a hairdresser before 1916.3 He fought in the First World War. Mungo served in the J Company, 1st NZEF on 23 September 1916 as a private 27279.3
