     Elizabeth Chambers was born on 9 December 1869 at Tiragarvan, Magheross, County Monaghan, IrelandG.2,3,4 She was the daughter of James Chambers and Annie Jane Chambers.5 She married William Lundy, son of James Lundy and Sarah Rusk, on 16 June 1891 at St. Finbarr’s Parish Church, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, IrelandG, in a Church of Ireland marriage.6 She died on 7 January 1946 at age 76.7,4 She was buried on 9 January 1946 at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Ashburton, New ZealandG, next to plot 3591.. No headstone was erected for some reason.8,4
     From 16 June 1891, her married name became Lundy.9 As of between 1897 and 1899, Elizabeth Chambers also went by the nick-name of Lizzie Lundy.10

     William Lundy was born on 12 December 1860 at Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, IrelandG.2,1,3 He was the son of James Lundy and Sarah Rusk. He married Elizabeth Chambers, daughter of James Chambers and Annie Jane Chambers, on 16 June 1891 at St. Finbarr’s Parish Church, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, IrelandG, in a Church of Ireland marriage.4 He died on 13 December 1937 at age 77 at 98 Thomson Street, Tinwald, Ashburton, New ZealandG.5,3 He was buried at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Ashburton, New ZealandG.6

William James Lundy1

     William James Lundy was born on 15 May 1894.2 He was the son of William Lundy and Elizabeth Chambers. He died on 23 March 1964 at age 69.3,1,4 He was buried at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Ashburton, New ZealandG, plot 2766.4 His estate was probated on 27 April 1964 at Ashburton, New ZealandG.5
     William James Lundy also went by the nick-name of Jim.6 He was a mechanic before 1917 at Wakanui, Canterbury, New ZealandG.7 William served in the Rifle Brigade Reinforcement, G Company, 1st NZEF on 26 April 1917 as a rifleman 47158. William went to France on the “Turakina”, as part of the 25th Reinforcement..8 Circa 1918 he visited his relations in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan while on leave from the war.6 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.
