     Lieutenant Thomas Blood was born circa 1750.¹ He was the son of William Blood and Ann Chadwick.¹ He died in 1790 at Algiers, Algeria^G, killed in action while serving with Spanish forces.¹
     He gained the rank of Ensign in 1770 in the 64th Foot.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1774.¹ He was a settler in South America.¹

     Thomas Blood was born in 1777.¹ He was the son of Lieutenant Thomas Blood.¹ He married Sarah Thornthwaite, daughter of Thomas Thornthwaite, circa 1805.¹ He died on 8 February 1850.¹
     He was an artist-engraver.¹ He lived at Plaistow, Essex, England^G.¹

     Sarah Thornthwaite was the daughter of Thomas Thornthwaite.¹ She married Thomas Blood, son of Lieutenant Thomas Blood, circa 1805.¹ She died in 1856.¹
     From circa 1805, her married name became Blood.¹

     Thomas Thornthwaite was a tailor.¹ He lived at Paternoster Row, London, England^G.¹

     Joseph Howell Blood was born in 1806.¹ He was the son of Thomas Blood and Sarah Thornthwaite.¹ He married Harriet Lewis, daughter of Reverend John Lewis, on 29 November 1836.¹ He died on 5 August 1876.¹
     He was a practising a Solicitor.¹ He lived at Witham, Essex, England^G.¹

     Harriet Lewis was the daughter of Reverend John Lewis.¹ She married Joseph Howell Blood, son of Thomas Blood and Sarah Thornthwaite, on 29 November 1836.¹ She died in 1872, aged 60.¹
     From 29 November 1836, her married name became Blood.¹

     Reverend John Lewis was the Rector of Ingatestone, Essex, England^G.¹

     Reverend Howell Pattison Lewis Blood was born on 28 December 1837.¹ He was the son of Joseph Howell Blood and Harriet Lewis.¹ He died on 19 September 1911 at age 73, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Peterhouse College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was the Rector between 1876 and 1891 of West Bergholt, Colchester, Essex, England^G.¹ He was received into the Roman Catholic Church 1892.¹

     Thomas William Blood was born in 1840.¹ He was the son of Joseph Howell Blood and Harriet Lewis.¹ He died on 14 March 1841.¹

     William Bindon Blood was born on 19 September 1841.¹ He was the son of Joseph Howell Blood and Harriet Lewis.¹ He died on 8 January 1917 at age 75, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He was a practising a Solicitor.¹ He lived at Witham, Essex, England^G.¹
