     Captain Thomas Spring of Castlemaine was the son of Thomas Spring.2 He married Annabelle Browne, daughter of Sir Anthony Browne.2 He died in 1597.2
     He was granted 3000 acres of land in County Kerry by Queen Elizabeth I, including Kilcoleman Abbey.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kerry in 1609, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.2
