Lt.-Col. William Arthur Russwürm Blennerhassett1 
He was born with the name of William Arthur Russwürm.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Matabele War in 1896.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1898 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Essex Regiment.1 His name was legally changed to Lt.-Col. William Arthur Russwürm Blennerhassett when he assumed his maternal grandmother’s maiden name by Deed Poll in 1912.1 He fought in the First World War, with the 12th Gloucestershire Regiment.1
