     John Victor Hay Couper was born in 1902.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Edward Edmonstone Couper and Daisy Ethel Aylmer Rose.² He died, unmarried.¹

     James Robert Couper was born on 24 June 1863.¹ He was the son of George Ebenezer Wilson Couper, 2nd Bt. and Caroline Penelope Every.² He married Jessie Kissock, daughter of John Kissock, in 1897.¹ He died on 7 June 1917 at age 53.¹

     John Kissock lived at Drummore, Lochrutton, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Jessie Kissock was the daughter of John Kissock.² She married James Robert Couper, son of George Ebenezer Wilson Couper, 2nd Bt. and Caroline Penelope Every, in 1897.¹ She died on 17 January 1922.¹
     From 1897, her married name became Couper.

     Sir George Robert Cecil Couper, 5th Bt. was born on 15 October 1898.¹ He was the son of James Robert Couper and Jessie Kissock.² He married Margaret Grace Thomas, daughter of Robert George Dashwood Thomas, on 15 March 1941.¹ He died on 26 May 1975 at age 76.¹
     He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Machine Gun Corps.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the 1st Royal Dragoons.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Couper [U.K., 1841] in 1975.¹

     Major John Every Couper was born on 15 November 1900.¹ He was the son of James Robert Couper and Jessie Kissock.² He married Katherine Audrey Mary Alexander, daughter of William Renfrew Alexander, on 19 April 1928.¹ He died on 8 June 1966 at age 65.¹
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Electricial and Mechanical Engineers.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1957.¹

     William Renfrew Alexander lived at Cupar, Fife, Scotland^G.¹

     Katherine Audrey Mary Alexander was the daughter of William Renfrew Alexander.² She married Major John Every Couper, son of James Robert Couper and Jessie Kissock, on 19 April 1928.¹ She died in 1987.¹
     From 19 April 1928, her married name became Couper.¹

     Jonathan Every Couper was born on 26 February 1931.¹ He is the son of Major John Every Couper and Katherine Audrey Mary Alexander.²
     He was educated at Douai School, Upper Woolhampton, Reading, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 18 Montague Road, Ealing, London, England^G.¹
