     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Air Vice Marshal in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1941.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1943.¹

     Charles Leslie Fox lived at Rumwell Hall, Taunton, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Hilda Violet Leslie Fox was the daughter of Charles Leslie Fox.¹ She married Air Vice-Marshal John Beresford Cole-Hamilton, son of John Isaac Cole-Hamilton and Elinor Bourne Royds, on 12 June 1928.¹ She died on 22 April 1945.¹
     From 12 June 1928, her married name became Cole-Hamilton.

     Diana Patricia Selina Cole-Hamilton was born on 31 August 1932.¹ She is the daughter of Air Vice-Marshal John Beresford Cole-Hamilton and Hilda Violet Leslie Fox.¹ She married Stephen Wilbraham Ford, son of Major John Meredith Randle Ford, on 2 November 1957.¹ She and Stephen Wilbraham Ford were divorced in 1968.¹
     She graduated from Girton College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1953 with a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.¹ ) From 2 November 1957, her married name became Ford. She lived in 2003 at The Old Vicarage, Greywell, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Major John Meredith Randle Ford was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He lived at Bowhay, Iwerne Minster, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Stephen Wilbraham Ford is the son of Major John Meredith Randle Ford.¹ He married Diana Patricia Selina Cole-Hamilton, daughter of Air Vice-Marshal John Beresford Cole-Hamilton and Hilda Violet Leslie Fox, on 2 November 1957.¹ He and Diana Patricia Selina Cole-Hamilton were divorced in 1968.¹

     Jonathan Hugo Ford was born on 8 September 1960.¹ He is the son of Stephen Wilbraham Ford and Diana Patricia Selina Cole-Hamilton.¹

     Joanna Margaret Randle Ford was born on 13 November 1958.¹ She is the daughter of Stephen Wilbraham Ford and Diana Patricia Selina Cole-Hamilton.¹

     Margaret Selina Cole-Hamilton was born on 18 November 1884.¹ She was the daughter of John Isaac Cole-Hamilton and Elinor Bourne Royds.¹ She died on 11 June 1974 at age 89, unmarried.¹
     She was with the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry during the First World War.¹ She was awarded the Medaille de la Reine Elisabeth of Belgium.¹ She was awarded the Medaille de la Reconnaissance of France.¹ She was awarded the Croix Civique.¹ She was an Assistant Administrator in the Women’s Royal Naval Service and Women’s Royal Air Force.¹

     Emily Harriet Cole-Hamilton was the daughter of Major Arthur Willoughby Cole-Hamilton and Emilia Katherine Beresford.¹ She married John Gordon Bowen on 29 April 1858.¹ She died on 28 September 1885.¹
     From 29 April 1858, her married name became Bowen.
