     Lieutenant John Blakeney was the son of William Blakeney and Elizabeth Bowerman.¹ He died on 1 February 1720.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 13 April 1709 in the Colonel Churchill’s Regiment of Marines.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 1 June 1715 in the Sir Harry Goring’s 31st Regiment of Foot.¹

     Sir George William Prescott, 1st Bt. was born in 1748.² He married Sarah Long, daughter of Beeston Long and Sarah Cropp, on 21 April 1774.¹ He died in 1801.²
     He was created 1st Baronet Prescott, of Theobald’s Park [Great Britain] in 1794.

     Deborah Smyth was born circa 1705. She was the daughter of Grice Smyth and Gertrude Taylor.¹ She married Major Robert Blakeney, son of William Blakeney and Elizabeth Bowerman, on 27 January 1729.¹
     From 27 January 1729, her married name became Blakeney.¹

     Grice Smyth was the son of Richard Smyth.² He married Gertrude Taylor, daughter of William Taylor. He died before 24 April 1724.²
     He lived at Ballynatray, County Waterford, Ireland^G.¹

     Lieutenant William Blakeney was born in 1733.¹ He was the son of Major Robert Blakeney and Deborah Smyth.¹ He married Gertrude Smyth, daughter of Richard Smyth, on 9 June 1764.¹ He died on 15 September 1811.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1752 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1756 in the Lt.-Col. Robert Blakeney’s Dragoons.¹ He was admitted on 22 May 1759, entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-law.¹ He lived at Mount Blakeney, Kilmallock, County Limerick, Ireland^G,¹, at 36 St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G,¹ and at Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Gertrude Smyth was the daughter of Richard Smyth.¹ She married Lieutenant William Blakeney, son of Major Robert Blakeney and Deborah Smyth, on 9 June 1764.¹ She was buried on 26 August 1768 at St. Andrew’s Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹
     From 9 June 1764, her married name became Blakeney.¹

     Richard Smyth was born in 1706.² He was the son of Grice Smyth and Gertrude Taylor.² He married Penelope Bateman, daughter of Rowland Bateman and Elizabeth Colthurst. He died in April 1768.²
     He lived at Ballynatray, County Waterford, Ireland^G.¹

     Reverend Robert Blakeney was born in 1768.¹ He was the son of Lieutenant William Blakeney and Gertrude Smyth.¹ He died on 12 January 1825, unmarried.¹
     He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1792 with a Bachelor of Canon Law (B.C.L.)¹ He was the Rector of Great Elm, Somerset, England^G, (near Bath).¹

     Lieutenant George Blakeney was born in 1735.¹ He was the son of Major Robert Blakeney and Deborah Smyth.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1756 in the Lt.-Col. Robert Blakeney’s Dragoons.¹

     General Grice Blakeney was the son of Major Robert Blakeney and Deborah Smyth.¹ He died on 16 November 1816, unmarried, aged 75.²
     He was the Lieutenant-Colonel Commander of the 14th Dragoons.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in 1790 in the 4th (Blakeney’s) Royal Veteran Batallion.^1,2 He gained the rank of General in the Army.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for counties Limerick, Cork, and Tipperary.¹
