     Joseph Gabbett Maunsell was born on 25 December 1803.2 He was the son of William Maunsell and Dorothea Gabbett.2 He married, firstly, Anne Bevan, daughter of Samuel Bevan and Elizabeth Collins.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Maria Chambers, daughter of Bannister Chambers, in January 1835.2 He died in January 1868 at age 64.1
     He lived at Spa Hill, County Limerick, IrelandG.2
