     Clarence Francis Butler was born on 29 August 1920.¹ He was the son of Charles Edward Butler and Alice Elizabeth Worship.¹ He married, firstly, Pamela Constance Drakard, daughter of Francis John Drakard, on 14 March 1944.¹ He married, secondly, Annette Dolors Taylor Froud, daughter of Percy Herbert Froud, on 1 November 1996.¹ He died in September 2006 at age 86 at Isle of Man.²
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.¹ He graduated from Christ’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1946 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He lived in 2003 at Martins, Ramsey Road, Laxey, Isle of Man^G.¹

     Francis John Drakard lived at Ingham House, Martlesham, Suffolk, England^G.¹

     Pamela Constance Drakard was the daughter of Francis John Drakard.¹ She married Clarence Francis Butler, son of Charles Edward Butler and Alice Elizabeth Worship, on 14 March 1944.¹ She died on 29 April 1991.¹
     From 14 March 1944, her married name became Butler.

     Julia Rosemary Butler was born on 11 April 1945.¹ She is the daughter of Clarence Francis Butler and Pamela Constance Drakard.¹ She married Dennis Curran in 1967.¹
