     He was educated at Fettes College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He was educated at Geneva, Switzerland^G.² He was FIGRS.² He lived at Hove, Sussex, England^G.²

     William Smyttan Davidson is the son of Reverend George Smyttan Davidson and Mary Gammell Stewart.

     Mary Gammell Stewart Davidson is the daughter of William Smyttan Davidson.¹ She married, firstly, Theobald Blake Butler, son of Theobald FitzWalter Butler and Catherine Elizabeth Barraclough, on 7 June 1921.¹ She and Theobald Blake Butler were divorced in 1930.¹ She married, secondly, Norman Fox-Andrews in 1931.¹
     From 7 June 1921, her married name became Butler. From 1931, her married name became Fox-Andrews.¹

     James Roland Blake Fox-Andrews was born on 24 March 1922.¹ He was the son of Theobald Blake Butler and Mary Gammell Stewart Davidson.¹ He married Angela Bridget Swift, daughter of Brigadier Charles Copley Swift, on 7 October 1950.² He died in 2002.¹
     He was given the name of James Roland Blake Butler at birth.¹ He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ In 1939 his name was legally changed to James Roland Blake Fox-Andrews.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1940 in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1948 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Gray’s Inn in 1949 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He was editor of The Institute of Arbitrators Journal between 1950 and 1954.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (F.C.I.Arb.)¹ He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.) in 1968.¹ He was Deputy Chairman of Devon Quarter Sessions between 1970 and 1971.² He held the office of Recorder of Winchester in 1971.¹ He was Recorder of the Crown Court between 1972 and 1985.¹ He held the office of Bencher of Gray’s Inn in 1974.¹ He lived in 1976 at Lepe House, Exbury, Hampshire, England^G.² He held the office of Circuit Judge between 1985 and 1994.¹

     From 7 October 1950, her married name became Fox-Andrews.

     Jonathan Mark Piers Fox-Andrews was born on 7 May 1952.² He is the son of James Roland Blake Fox-Andrews and Angela Bridget Swift.¹ He married Rosemary Jenks, daughter of Dennis Jenks, in 1984.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He lived in 1976 at 28 Woodfall Street, London, England^G.² He lived in 2003 at 62 Redcliffe Road, London, England^G.¹

     Rosemary Jenks is the daughter of Dennis Jenks.¹ She married Jonathan Mark Piers Fox-Andrews, son of James Roland Blake Fox-Andrews and Angela Bridget Swift, in 1984.¹

     Maximilian George Fox-Andrews was born in 1987.¹ He is the son of Jonathan Mark Piers Fox-Andrews and Rosemary Jenks.¹
