Brigadier James Willcox Berridge1 
He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Peterhouse College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1939 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War1 and in the Palestine Campaign in 1947, during which he was mentioned in despatches.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General of Canada between 1950 and 1951.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1957.1 He retired from the military in 1966, with the rank of Brigadier, late of the Irish Guards.1 He lived at Carrigbyrne, Adamstown, County Wexford, IrelandG,1 and at Le Pachis, Waillet, BelgiumG.1
