Worcester [G.B., 1772] on 30 January 1806.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham, co. Worcester [G.B., 1784] on 30 January 1806.2 He held the office of Recorder of Gloucester in 1811.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire between 1817 and 1841.2 He was created 1st Earl Sommers [U.K.] on 17 July 1821.2 He was created 1st Viscount Eastnor, of Eastnor Castle, co. Hereford [U.K.] on 17 July 1821.2 He held the office of High Steward of Hereford.1
