     He was a Freeman in 1803 of Cork, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹ He was living in January 1838.¹ He was a merchant at Cork, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Maulbrack, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Caroline Charlotte Craig was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir J. Craig.¹ She married William Beamish, son of Reverend John Beamish and Mary Purcell, in 1813.¹
     From 1813, her married name became Beamish.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Sir J. Craig was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹

     John O’Meara Beamish was born in 1814.¹ He was the son of William Beamish and Caroline Charlotte Craig.¹ He married Anne Harris, daughter of Peter George Harris, in July 1839.¹ He died in 1893.¹
     He was a Professor of English at Université de Rouen, Rouen, France^G.¹ He was awarded the Legion of Honour with Chevron.¹

     Anne Harris was the daughter of Peter George Harris.¹ She married John O’Meara Beamish, son of William Beamish and Caroline Charlotte Craig, in July 1839.¹ She died in 1895.¹
     From July 1839, her married name became Beamish.¹

     Peter George Harris lived at Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands^G.¹

     Captain William Beamish was born in 1840.¹ He was the son of John O’Meara Beamish and Anne Harris.¹ He died in 1882, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Army.¹

     Reverend Franck John de Vic Beamish was born in 1852.¹ He was the son of John O’Meara Beamish and Anne Harris.¹ He married Ann S. Greenfield, daughter of Reverend John Greenfield, in 1878.¹ He died in 1907.¹
     He fought in the Franco-Prussian War, as a member of the 1st Zouaves. He was mentioned in despatches twice, and held prisioner twice¹ for whcih Reverend Franck John de Vic Beamish was decorated with the Medaille Militaire.¹ He gained the rank of Chaplain Forces in the Yorkshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the Nile Expedition in 1885.¹

     Ann S. Greenfield was the daughter of Reverend John Greenfield.¹ She married Reverend Franck John de Vic Beamish, son of John O’Meara Beamish and Anne Harris, in 1878.¹ She died on 14 August 1938, aged 84.¹
     From 1878, her married name became Beamish.¹

     Reverend John Greenfield was the English Chaplain at Rouen, France^G.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹
