Richard William Erskine Dawson was born on 31 December 1832 at Malta.² He was the son of Major George Thomas Dawson and Euphemia Erskine.^1,2 He was baptised on 15 January 1833 at Malta.² He married Florence Anna Barton, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hugh William Barton and Mary Caroline Johnston, on 13 May 1871 at Upper Norwood, Croydon, London, England, in a childless marriage.^1,2 He died on 11 June 1890 at age 57 at 27 Perham Road, Kensington, London, England.²
     He fought in the Crimean War.² He fought in the Maori Wars.² He was Colonel of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Irish between 1882 and 1886.² He gained the rank of Major-General in the 18th Royal Irish Regiment of Foot.^1,2

     Archibald Campbell Colquhoun was born circa 1764 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ He was the son of John Campbell and Agnes Colquhoun of Killermont.¹ He married Mary Anne Erskine, daughter of Reverend William Erskine and Helen Drummond, on 19 September 1796.¹ He died on 8 December 1820 at Hartham, Wiltshire, England.¹
     He was given the name of Archibald Campbell at birth.¹ On 13 August 1804 his name was legally changed to Archibald Campbell Colquhoun.¹ He held the office of Lord Advocate [Scotland] in 1807.^2,3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Elgin Bughs between 1807 and 1810.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dunbartonshire between 1810 and 1820.¹ He lived at Killermont, Dunbartonshire, Scotland^G.²

     Mary Everina Barton was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Hugh William Barton and Mary Caroline Johnston.¹ She married James Montgomery Sinclair on 29 January 1868, they were parents.¹
     From 29 January 1868, her married name became Sinclair.¹

     James Montgomery Sinclair married Mary Everina Barton, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hugh William Barton and Mary Caroline Johnston, on 29 January 1868, they were parents.¹ He died in 1899.¹
     He lived at Holyhill, Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Bonnyglen, Inver, County Donegal, Ireland^G.¹

     Henrietta Martha Mervyn Richardson was the daughter of Henry Mervyn Richardson.¹ She married Captain Charles Robert Barton, son of Lt.-Col. Hugh William Barton and Mary Caroline Johnston, on 1 August 1872.¹ She died on 12 November 1915.¹
     From 1 August 1872, her married name became Barton.¹

     Henry Mervyn Richardson held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Rossfad, Ballinamallard, County Fermanagh, Ireland^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. William Hugh Barton was born on 30 May 1874.¹ He was the son of Captain Charles Robert Barton and Henrietta Martha Mervyn Richardson.¹ He married Ardyn Marion Patteson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Tyrwhitt Staniforth Patteson, on 20 February 1917.¹ He died on 1 February 1945 at age 70.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He was appointed Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Army Service Corps, he was formerly of the Scottish Rifles.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff in 1924.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at The Waterfoot, Letter, County Fermanagh, Ireland^G.¹

     Henry Charles Johnston Barton was born on 12 October 1876.¹ He was the son of Captain Charles Robert Barton and Henrietta Martha Mervyn Richardson.¹ He married Ethel Maude Espeut, daughter of William Bancroft Espeut, on 30 April 1910.¹ He died on 26 November 1964 at age 88.¹
     He was the principal tea buyer for Lyons.¹

     Ethel Maude Espeut was the daughter of William Bancroft Espeut.¹ She married Henry Charles Johnston Barton, son of Captain Charles Robert Barton and Henrietta Martha Mervyn Richardson, on 30 April 1910.¹ She died on 26 June 1961, aged 81.¹
     From 30 April 1910, her married name became Barton.¹

     William Bancroft Espeut held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.)¹ He lived at Spring Garden, Jamaica^G.¹
