Captain Thomas Ashburnham, 6th Earl of Ashburham1 
He gained the rank of Captain in the 7th Hussars.2 He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882.2 He was awarded the Order of the Medjidie 5th class.2 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland between 1885 and 1886.2 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Ashburnham, of Ashburnham, Sussex [E., 1689] on 15 January 1913.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount St. Asaph, of the principality of Wales [G.B., 1730] on 15 January 1913.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Ashburnham [G.B., 1730] on 15 January 1913.1
On his death, all of his titles became extinct.1
