     Sir Hugh Houston Smiley, 3rd Bt. was born on 14 November 1905.¹ He was the son of Major Sir John Smiley, 2nd Bt. and Valerie Champion de Crespigny.² He married Nancy Elizabeth Louise Hardy Beaton, daughter of Ernest Walter Hardy Beaton and Etty Sisson, on 18 January 1933.¹ He died on 1 November 1990 at age 84.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Smiley, of Drumalis, Larne, co. Antrim and Gallowhill, Paisley, Renfrewshire [U.K., 1903] on 13 April 1930.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire in 1952.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1959.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire between 1962 and 1973.¹ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire between 1973 and 1982.¹

     Ernest Walter Hardy Beaton married Etty Sisson.²

     Nancy Elizabeth Louise Hardy Beaton was the daughter of Ernest Walter Hardy Beaton and Etty Sisson.^4,5 She married Sir Hugh Houston Smiley, 3rd Bt., son of Major Sir John Smiley, 2nd Bt. and Valerie Champion de Crespigny, on 18 January 1933.¹ She died in 1999.¹
     From 18 January 1933, her married name became Smiley.

     Lt.-Col. Sir John Philip Smiley, 4th Bt. was born on 24 February 1934.² He is the son of Sir Hugh Houston Smiley, 3rd Bt. and Nancy Elizabeth Louise Hardy Beaton.² He married Davina Elizabeth Griffiths, daughter of Denis Charles Griffiths, on 2 November 1963.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.² He fought in the Cyprus Campaign between 1958 and 1959.² He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Bermuda between 1961 and 1962.² He retired from the military in 1986, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Grenadier Guards.² He was with Russell Reynolds Associates between 1986 and 1989.² He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Smiley, of Drumalis, Larne, co. Antrim and Gallowhill, Paisley, Renfrewshire [U.K., 1903] on 1 November 1990.¹ He was Master of the Worshipful Company of Grocers between 1992 and 1993.² He lived in 2003 at Cornerway House, Chobham, Surrey, England^G.²

     George R. Thomas is the son of Hugh Thomas.¹ He married Jessica Suzanna Waley-Cohen, daughter of Robert Bernard Waley-Cohen and Hon. Felicity Ann Samuel.¹

     Oliver Rollo Thomas was born on 22 January 2008.¹ He is the son of George R. Thomas and Jessica Suzanna Waley-Cohen.¹
