     From 11 September 1923, her married name became Archdale.¹ From 17 January 1950, her married name became Smith.¹ She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹ As of 1976, Shelia Beddoes lived at 103 Prestige Mansions, Somerset West, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹

     Colonel Duncan Smith married Shelia Beddoes, daughter of Lt.-Col. Claude Eustace Willoughby Beddoes, on 17 January 1950.¹ He died in October 1966.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Seaforth Highlanders.¹

     Brigid Fianna Moore was the daughter of Major-Gen. Denis Grattan Moore.¹ She married Audley Nicholas Willoughby Archdale, son of Nicholas Montgomery Archdale and Shelia Beddoes, on 24 April 1975.¹
     From 24 April 1975, her married name became Archdale.¹
