     Thomas Archdale was the son of Thomas Archdale and Mary Nevill.¹ He was buried on 5 August 1676.¹

     John Archdale was born circa 1642.¹ He was the son of Thomas Archdale and Mary Nevill.¹ He married Anne Cary.¹ He was buried on 4 July 1717.¹
     He emigrated to New England, U.S.A.^G, arriving in 1664 with his brother-in-law Ferdinando Gorges.¹ He returned home, to England arriving in 1674.¹ He became a Quaker.¹ He emigrated to North Carolina, U.S.A.^G, arriving in 1686 and became a Lord Proprietor of the colony.¹ He held the office of Commissioner of Gorges in the Maine government from 1687 to 1688.¹ He held the office of Governor of North Carolina between 1695 and 1697.¹ He returned to England.¹ He was elected to the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for High Wycombe in 1698, but he was deprived of his seat on refusing the oath.¹ He published the book Descriptions of Carolina in 1707.¹

     Anne Cary married John Archdale, son of Thomas Archdale and Mary Nevill.¹ She was buried on 25 October 1719.¹
     Her married name became Archdale.¹ She lived at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Captain Thomas Archdale was born circa 1675.¹ He was the son of John Archdale and Anne Cary.¹ He married Jane Turner, daughter of Charles Turner, circa 1700.¹ He died on 9 August 1711, before his father.¹
     He was educated at Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for High Wycombe in 1699.¹ He lived at Stanhoe, Norfolk, England^G, jure uxoris.¹ He lived at Thornham, Norfolk, England^G, jure uxoris.¹ He sold the High Wycombe estates to Lord Shelburne in 1700.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1706 in the Col. Roger Townshend’s Regiment of Foot.¹ He transfered officer in 1707 in the service of the Royal Fusiliers.¹

     Jane Turner was the daughter of Charles Turner.¹ She married Captain Thomas Archdale, son of John Archdale and Anne Cary, circa 1700.¹ She died in 1722.¹
     From circa 1700, her married name became Archdale.¹

     Charles Turner lived at King’s Lynn, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He lived at Stanhoe, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Anne Archdale was born circa 1702.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Thomas Archdale and Jane Turner.¹ She married John Wilson.¹ She died on 26 September 1767, with issue, (whose descendants adopted the name of Archdale).¹
     Her married name became Wilson.¹ She lived at Thornham, Norfolk, England^G.¹ She lived at Stanhoe, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     John Wilson married Anne Archdale, daughter of Captain Thomas Archdale and Jane Turner.¹
     He lived at King’s Lynn, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Mary Archdale was born in September 1705.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Thomas Archdale and Jane Turner.¹ She died in 1725, unmarried.¹

     Mary Archdale was the daughter of John Archdale and Anne Cary.¹ She married John Danson.¹
     Her married name became Danson.¹
