     She served in the First World War, as a transport driver.¹

     Ethel Andrews was born on 16 February 1876.¹ She was the daughter of John Andrews and Ann Andrews.¹ She married Norman de Wind, son of Arthur Hughes de Wind and Margaret Jane Stone, on 30 December 1909.¹
     From 30 December 1909, her married name became de Wind.¹ As of 1976, Ethel Andrews lived at 11 Whittlesey Avenue, New Milford, Connecticut, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Norman de Wind was the son of Arthur Hughes de Wind and Margaret Jane Stone.^1,2 He married Ethel Andrews, daughter of John Andrews and Ann Andrews, on 30 December 1909.¹ He died on 18 February 1974.¹

     Arthur Hughes de Wind was born on 10 March 1837 at Malacca, Malaysia.² He was the son of Johannes Bartholomeus de Wind and Lily Maria Pinaud.² He was baptised on 24 August 1839 at Malacca, Malaysia.² He married Margaret Jane Stone, daughter of Guy Stone and Anne (?), on 12 April 1863 at Comber, County Down, Ireland.² He died on 27 February 1917 at age 79.²
     He was an architect.²
